Training resumes on Tuesday as Pioli gives Milan players three days off

The AC Milan players who currently aren’t on international duty have been given three days off by Stefano Pioli. Training will resume on Tuesday, therefore, with the others expected back on Wednesday.

The international break has certainly made the preparation for the derby against Inter a bit tricky. Some will play their final game on Sunday, while others will play it on Tuesday. The worst are Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic, though, who will have their last game with the US on Wednesday night (2:30 a.m. Italy time).

As Pioli cannot start the preparation early anyway, he has decided to give the players that aren’t on international duty three days off, per the official site. Training will thus resume on Tuesday and the likes of Simon Kjaer, Tijjani Reijnders, Samuel Chukwueze and Luka Jovic could perhaps be back for that.

The training session will take place in the afternoon and Pioli will then officially start the preparation for the derby. Of course, the case is the same for Inter and no complaints can be made about the international break in that sense.
