Transfer Recap: Gomez deal collapses; Aubameyang return difficult

The third transfer recap from SempreMilan.com’s columnist Vito Angele is in as he rounds up today’s transfer news.

Check out yesterday’s recap here.

BOCA DIRECTORS IN MILAN FOR GUSTAVO GOMEZ

If yesterday everything seemed to be done for the deal to send Gustavo Gomez to Boca Juniors, today there was a slowdown in the negotiations.

At Milan today, the third meeting between the Rossoneri management, the player’s agent and two emissaries from the Argentinean club took place: there is still a gap between supply and demand.

Milan expected a small raise from Boca compared to the €5million offered. The Rossoneri are asking for at least €6/7million for the right to buy. This is a figure that, according to the latest reports, Boca are no longer be willing to pay.

MIONIC TO MILAN

We spoke yesterday of the interest from Milan in Antonio Mionic, the Croatian midfielder currently at Istria 1961.

The talented youngster, from the class of 2001, was in Milan to get to know the city and the Rossoneri management better. A deal could be agreed in Spring, with the possibility of a June arrival.

AUBAMEYANG RETURN?

Rumours have surfaced recently about a possible return for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but in reality at the moment there are very few possibilities.

The Gabon striker, after the lack of transfer to China, is so fond of Arsenal that, after collecting the amount from the sale of Sanchez, he could do all-in. Milan, at the moment, are to be excluded.
