TuttoC: Milan chase Foggia right-back to bolster new U23 team

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan’s U23 side is preparing for its inaugural season in Serie C and Foggia right-back Emmanuele Salines could be signed to bring some relevant experience to the team.

As reported by TuttoC.com (via Milan News), work is underway to build a competitive team for Daniele Bonera to lead in Serie C next season and a blend of youth and experience must be struck.

Salines is certainly not an old player in that he was born in 2000, but he has experience playing at Serie C level which cannot be said for all of the youngsters that will be funnelled into the team from Milan’s youth system.

Striker Mbarick Fall has been linked with the team, and now Salines is a serious target as well. He scored seven goals in 35 appearances last season which is impressive from right-back, and has got three seasons of Serie C football under his belt.

Salines has played for the likes of Catanzaro, Feralpisalo and Ostiamare in the past, as well as being part of Bari’s youth academy for a period of time.

His experience in this category is certainly the major selling point as far as Milan are concerned, whilst his impressive recent season is also helpful.
