TuttoSalernitana: Milan pushing for Boulaye Dia and have made highest offer

Salernitana have received two offers for Boulaye Dia and AC Milan have made the highest one at present, according to a report.

According to TuttoSalernitana – which is part of the TMW network – Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino wants to sell Dia for higher than the €25m release clause which is in his contract until 20 July.

However, the Granata are ‘in concrete danger’ of losing the Senegal international as per the source, after a great season in which he amassed 16 goals and was the third-top scorer in Serie A.

The player’s entourage reported to the management in the early afternoon and presented two offers. The first is from Milan, who see Dia as the right profile for the centre-forward role and Stefano Pioli too has given his approval.

“We confirm the two offers, if they put 25 million on the table we can’t do much. Milan are the closest,” confirmed official sources from the club.

It is believed the other offer is from Fiorentina. In the event of a farewell, the capital gain would not be very high considering that he was bought for €12m 20% of the proceeds from a future resale will got back to Villarreal.

Dia for his part is ‘legitimately fascinated’ by the possibility of playing in Europe, while Salernitana have begun to think of replacements such as Mbala Nzola.
