Tuttosport: AC Milan eye Demiral; negotiations could take off in January

By Isak Möller -

It’s no secret that AC Milan are looking to reinforce their squad in January, following a very poor start to the season. With 15 goals conceded in 11 games, the defence needs to be strengthened by the management.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), the San Siro side are studying two Juventus defenders: Daniele Rugani and above all Merih Demiral. The latter was on their wish list already in the summer.

However, he has failed to impress at Juventus so far this season, spending most of his time on the bench as Sarri has opted for the Bonucci-De Ligt partnership. Therefore, Milan could make a new attempt for the Turkish defender.

As stated by the newspaper, negotiations between the two clubs could take off in January, although they will be far from easy. The Bianconeri paid €18m for the player less than six months ago, now asking for up to €40m.
