A number of AC Milan players have received plaudits for their performance in last night’s 0-0 draw against Spurs which sealed progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Tuttosport have published player ratings for the game, starting with the rearguard which saw Mike Maignan get a 7 after a ‘miraculous’ save on Kane, while Malick Thiaw received a 7 for neutralising Son, Fikayo Tomori a 6.5 for being an ‘asphyxiant’ on Kane and Pierre Kalulu the same.

Theo Hernandez got a 7 for ‘plowing the left wing’ and drawing Romero’s red card, while Junior Messias did his task of staying attentive in defence and got a 6.5.

Rade Krunic ‘gave order’ and was awarded with a 6, while Sandro Tonali also got a 6 for ‘helping in the coverage phase’ and ‘running a lot’.

Brahim Diaz got a 6.5 as did Olivier Giroud despite the fact that ‘every time he touched the ball, boos and insults rained down’. Rafael Leao scored 5.5 for ‘lighting up very, very little’.

Alexis Saelemaekers got a 6 off the bench for being ‘tidy but never transcendental’, while none of the others played/did enough to be rated.
