Tuttosport: AC Milan turn to Rugani as Juventus want €40m for Demiral

By Isak Möller -

The January window is approaching and AC Milan don’t want to be caught unprepared. Therefore, the directors are already working on potential signings, including an important reinforcement for the defence.

In 13 games, the Rossoneri have conceded 17 goals, while scoring just 12. Therefore, January will be a great opportunity to replace both the defence and the attack. However, it seems they have run into some trouble on the market, according to a report.

Merih Demiral remains their number one goal for the defence, as today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) reports. Juventus, however, have slapped a price tag of €40m on the Turkish international, which is a figure that Milan can’t spend.

Therefore, they have turned to the defender’s teammate, namely Daniele Rugani. Per the report, the Italian risks being excluded from the Champions League list as Giorgio Chiellini is set to return from his serious injury, which could spark a January move.
