Tuttosport: Agent offers Milan star to Inter and Man Utd after requesting salary almost tripling

The agent of Hakan Calhanoglu – Gordon Stipic – has offered his client to two clubs as there is still a big distance with AC Milan over a renewal.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the negotiation for a new deal is proceeding slowly because there is a big gap between what the Rossoneri management have offered and the request of Calhanoglu’s camp.

Milan have offered €3.5million net per season plus bonuses that would allow the player to reach €4m, but Stipic has asked for a salary of €7m per season, an amount considered excessive.

The Rossoneri will only give that level of salary to a player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and will probably also give a similar sum to Gianluigi Donnarumma, but a smaller sum is expected for Calhanoglu. Currently, the former Bayer Leverkusen earns €2.5million net per season, so a huge pay rise – especially in these challenging times – seems unreasonable.

Stipic believes Hakan is worth that kind of salary, given his post-lockdown performance, and also believes the player can easily find another team. He has already offered him to other clubs, such as Inter and Manchester United for example.

A free transfer would allow the agent to collect a good commission, but for now talks with Milan continue.
