Tuttosport: Agents will hold Chelsea to promise as Giroud wants Milan move

By Isak Möller -

Milan are working on signing a striker this summer and Olivier Giroud seems to be the priority for the club. The Frenchman recently renewed his contract with Chelsea but negotiations have continued regardless.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Giroud has left everything with his agents who now are working on the move to Milan. The negotiations with the latter are ongoing to reach a total agreement on the contract.

Once that is settled, the agents will hold Chelsea to the promise made when the renewal materialised: Giroud will be released for free if a club from abroad makes a contract offer. In other words, that shouldn’t be a problem for Milan.

Giroud will certainly be a good addition to the squad with all of his experience, but he might not be the only signing for the attack this summer. However, a lot will depend on the recovery of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
