Tuttosport: Atalanta and Roma keen on Milan flop but negotiations are impossible

Ardon Jashari has attracted the interest of Atalanta and Roma, but as there is currently no AC Milan management in place, there is no one to negotiate with.

Jashari arrived at Milan last summer and given the price tag of around €37m, not to mention the long negotiations, the expectations were very high. However, it ended up being a very poor season for the Swiss international, who never really impressed enough.

There were moments of good quality, such as the assist for Rafael Leao against Como, but it wouldn’t be wrong to describe him as a flop so far. Whether he will remain at the club or not for next season is thus an interesting question.

No one to talk to

As per Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), Jashari has actually attracted the interest of Atalanta and Roma despite the poor season. Both clubs have been in touch with his entourage and are keen on getting a deal over the line.

However, seeing as Gerry Cardinale sacked the entire Milan management, there is currently no one to open negotiations with. This means that every single mercato operation, not just the potential sale of Jashari, has been put on hold for now.

Jashari has also been called up for the World Cup with Switzerland, so the interest could perhaps become more widespread if he does well.

  1. While Tonali had a handful of good games and showed flashes of utter brilliance in his debute season, I have seen nothing at all from Jashari. Nothing that shows why we paid so much for him. He is also at an age where he should be showcasing his talents when he gets a chance. Tonali was younger but was still able to impose himself on every match, even if he made mistakes.

If we can get the investment back, I wouldn’t mind selling Jashari if it means someone like Rangnick can get a higher budget to implement his system ✨

    1. He looks scared. I don’t think he is mentally on the level needed. His passing technique looked good, long balls etc, but vision really bad. Considering he is 24 soon there are better options for that money, if someone makes a reasonable offer.

    2. 2 big differences between him and Tonali

Tonali played for a healthy Milan with players that wanted to fight for one another, Jashari arrived in a mess

Tonali didn’t have his chinbone broken in preseason

also Jashari isn’t betting on himself :’D

    3. but still, selling player after just one season is silly.. even more so when the player need to adapt to a different league.. and didn’t we already learn from the CDK case? if they can give musah more playing times/chances, then why can’t they do that to ardon too?

    1. Agree. Some class long range passes. Bit like Adli but can read the game more. Was never given a proper chance and then got thrown into the fire once the pressure was high with Milan losing games and modric out.

  2. allegri changed the guy’s role.instead of box to box he made him a deeplying playmaker.i believe he will shine under a new coach.we dont need to rush out players after one season.

  3. “A flop”? Ridiculous. The guy was injured for half the season and then had to play in a dysfunctional, horrific team with no guidance, no quality and no support for the rest of it. Even Messi would be a flop in this team.

  4. Just wait next season,, can’t you learn from Tonali or even Reindeers that new/young players at Milan tends to really bloom in their second season.?

  5. Who adjudged him to be a flop?
He played in a team without any system, where it is reported that the coach said he wasn’t going to play him cus he didn’t ask for the signing and when he eventually played he was mostly paired with non-starters. Him and Ricci are victims of Alegri. Teams are lining up to sig🤘🤘 n him but some fans think he is a flop 😂😂😂.

If we get a good coach, this guy is gonna expload.
