Tuttosport: Ballo-Toure exit moves closer as Bundesliga side offer €4m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must try and tackle the issue related to the deputy left-back position, with Fode Ballo-Toure edging towards a move to January.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), the sale of Ballo-Toure has become a priority for Milan in order to find a quality alternative to Theo Hernandez, given the Senegal international has never fully convinced.

Werder Bremen’s interest in Ballo-Toure has been spoken about for several days but today the two sides drew closer. The Bundesliga side offered €4m for a permanent deal, which is not far off the amount Milan want.

It has been widely reported that the former Monaco and Lille man has already given the green light to Werder as a destination, which suggests that agreeing a transfer fee is all that remains.

Should he be sold, the management would go for Riccardo Calafiori from Basel or Pasquale Mazzocchi from Salernitana to replace Ballo-Toure.

    1. Messias has his medical tomorrow and that’s already been widely confirmed. And it’s known Milan want 4 million for Ballo-Toure and that’s been met.

  1. 32 players currently in the squad. 7 still need to leave. question is who? Messias, Ballo-Toure, Origi, Lazetic, Origi, De Ketelaere, and Traore back to primavera team. But then Ballo-Toure will be replaced by Calafiori (or someone else), so there is still one more that have to leave. Colombo on loan or Caldara/Saelesmaekers/Adli? If Colombo or Caldara leaves they will most likely need to replace them with a CB or CF. The only logical 7th player to let go is Saelemaekers cause he play in a position where we got 3 others, or Adli cause the mezzala spots are also crowded…
