Tuttosport: Barca and Man Utd unwilling to send duo to Milan on loan formula

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking to reinforce the full-back positions ahead of next season and it seems they have identified their primary targets: Diogo Dalot and Junior Firpo. Of course, they want them both on a loan formula.

Dalot spent this pasty season on loan with the Rossoneri and did relatively well, playing on both sides of the defence. In other words, he played where he was needed and you could argue he did enough to earn at least one more season at the club.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan want to keep the Portuguese youngster and have him as the right-back deputy. For the left-hand side, they have set their sights on Firpo of Barcelona.

However, both Man Utd and Barcelona are against the formula that the Rossoneri have proposed: loan with an option to buy. The players have said yes to the moves but it will take some negotiating between the clubs.

  1. Having spent a year at AC Milan, they know what he is capable of. No need to loan him again, if he is what they want they can buy him.
If they insist on a loan, it comes with an obligation to buy, not an option.
