Last night presented an opportunity for Andrea Belotti to show that the San Siro could be a fitting stage for his future, however he failed to convince.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) writes how Belotti started the game against Milan, a team who continue to be mentioned as a possible destination for him in the future with his contract set to expire next June.
He lasted until the 54th minute when he was subbed off not long after scuffing a chance when put in behind. That was the only shot that the Granata managed during the game and it was clear to see that Belotti’s condition was not optimal.
The paper describes it as an anonymous evening for Belotti from all points of view, one which started with whistles from the fans during the warm-ups and during his exit from the field. For now Belotti remains an opponent at San Siro, but the management will have been looking on with an eye for the future.
