Tuttosport: Brand growth, revenues and the stadium – Cardinale’s Milan blueprint

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have got a new ownership in place and Gerry Cardinale has a project in mind as the head of RedBird Capital, a report claims.

As reported this morning by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Cardinale strongly believes in Milan and their potential to grow, but he is aware that what he has inherited is an operational machine that worked perfectly. The club are expected to close the season on June 30 with a loss of around €50m – half compared to those recorded last season.

Cardinale is starting from a solid base and has every intention of expanding and making the club grow. The founder of RedBird wants to further evolve the Rossoneri brand around the world and wants to win, which of course can be linked.

Milan are economically sound and are the champions of Italy again, so now the idea is to exploit the resurgence through more money from sponsors, the Champions League, the project of the new stadium, the involvement of the fans and other revenue streams.
