AC Milan have hit a wall in their pursuit of Junior Firpo, but there are four alternative targets that the management have in mind, a report claims.
According to what Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the Milan management are working to sign a new left-back to be Theo Hernandez’s departure, with Andrea Conti’s exit and the poor performance of Diogo Dalot making them think a new full-back is needed.
The chances of signing Firpo from Barcelona appear to be minimal now, but there are a number of other targets that the management have in mind to strengthen, even if a new arrival will not come before next Tuesday’s Coppa Italia derby.
There are four names: Matias Viña of Palmeiras – already sought in the last two windows – as well as Iago Amaral of Augsburg, Jordan Amavì of Marseille and the young talent Nuno Mendes of Sporting CP.
