Tuttosport: CEO Gazidis considered an untouchable figure by Milan’s owners Elliott

By Oliver Fisher -

If there is one man who seems to have been trusted with powers above all others at AC Milan, it is CEO Ivan Gazidis.

A day after Gazidis outlined the club’s plans to grown on and off the pitch, Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport touches on just how important the former Arsenal CEO is to Milan’s revival, at least in the eyes of owners Elliott Management Corporation.

The paper (via MilanNews) notes how Gazidis is basically considered untouchable. The South African manager is “the man of trust” and “with full powers” inside the Rossoneri leadership, acting as a go-between for Elliott and the management level, including Maldini and Massara.

The CEO is also “the man of the accounts, who also decides the market”. This is what must bring Milan back to life and bring them back to the Champions League. He is trying, and while it is not easy “the ambition is to bring the club back to its levels”.
