AC Milan take on Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday, and the game will see Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez return to the starting lineup.
In this weekend’s game against Udinese, neither Leao nor Theo were present on the San Siro pitch – albeit for different reasons. However, both could return at the same time this week, with a huge Champions League fixture ahead.
The Frenchman’s suspension means he will miss the Serie A clash against Bologna this weekend, so starting him against Brugge will not be overloading his body. Leao’s absence was the latest move in his chess match against Paulo Fonseca, and the Portuguese head coach could look to offer the winger his turn on Tuesday.
According to Tuttosport (via Milan News), the duo should both return to the starting lineup, and the aces will have a ‘chance of redemption’. At present, the pair are lacking in team spirit, and this has disappointed the head coach, so they must take their chance on Tuesday.
Reports have suggested that Milan no longer have ‘untouchable’ players, so if their performances are not up to the standard required, they will be absent once again, especially now the Diavolo have proven that they can win without Theao.
I think Theo Hernandez is not lacking spirit, but discipline ..I believe he will bance back stronger,it must be said that Fonseca did well to give others chances to play which paid off as seen against udinese, Okafor can replace Leao in some games now, having shown great work ethic & good decision making on the field.

Fonseca’s experiments will either transform this team or end up a complete disaster. But hey, at least he has the hairy b**ls to actually try it.
I don’t know that I believe Leao has what it takes to be a system player, one for the team. Guess we’ll see.

I’m hesitating because on one hand Theo still needs to be punished, but on the other hand the alternative is Terracciano…
Now should Theo and Leao start it’s a good opportunity for them because they thrive against low hanging fruits and weak teams.
