Tuttosport: Colombo a serious candidate to be the vice-Ibrahimovic – Milan’s plan

By Nikita Fesyukov -

The AC Milan management is intensively working to reinforce the squad at Stefano Pioli’s disposal, with the priorities being to strengthen the midfield and defensive departments. In the meantime, for the attack, the club seems to have somewhat different plans.

As things stand, Maldini and Massara have different priorities in the ongoing transfer market and, barring surprises, another attacker will not arrive.

Already last season Pioli used Rebic as a central striker and, if necessary, Rafael Leao can also be adapted. But there is also another solution for the Rossoneri coach: Lorenzo Colombo.

As reported by Tuttosport this morning (via milanlive.it), Milan want to develop the young striker alongside Ibrahimovic, who can help him mature and improve a lot at Milanello.

The Turin-based paper adds that Colombo is a very humble player, but also determined to show off in the football that matters. Physically and technically he is in good shape and Milan strongly believe in him.

Finally, Tuttosport concluded that it is not yet 100% certain that Milan will not intervene to sign another striker, especially if there are some tempting opportunities. But in the meantime, Colombo will do everything to show that he can stay in the first team.
