Tuttosport: Confirmations arrive regarding renewal of Calabria – the figures and details

By Isak Möller -

Davide Calabria has been one of Milan’s best player this season, certainly making up for what was a disappointing 2019/20 season. He has re-found his form and this shows on the pitch.

The right-back is now an undisputed starter and Stefano Pioli holds him in high regards, which is why Man Utd loanee Diogo Dalot hasn’t got many chances. Given that Calabria grew up in the club, Milan are very pleased with the situation.

His contract will expire in 2022 and as reported by Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), the Rossoneri are ready to offer a new contract. Calabria currently earns just over €1m per year and the new deal could double his pay, to €1.8-2m.

The length of the contract would be five years, which would keep him at the club until 2026. Hopefully, the young right-back will continue to perform in the same way, as it could get him a spot in Italy’s squad for the Euros.
