Tuttosport: Curva Sud and AIMC plan protest during Milan-Udinese – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

The first fifteen minutes of Milan-Udinese will be experienced in an strange atmosphere at San Siro tonight due to a fan protest that will take place, according to a report.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report, the Curva Sud Milano and the AIMC – barring last-minute changes to their plan – will remain silent for the first quarter of an hour of the match to continue their protest against the expensive tickets for away fans.

The saga surrounding Lecce-Milan remains fresh in the minds, as the Salento club initially listed the ticket price for the travelling Rossoneri fans at €60 which sparked uproar given the previous highest they had charged any team was €25 for Napoli.

In the evening, they published a statement on their official website claiming the wrong price was published through a ‘technical error’ and that instead the real price is €35, which is still the highest they have charged any team this season.

  1. So they’re protesting against Lecce even though Lecce isn’t there and making their own team suffer? They deserve it if Milan loses.

  2. Do you guys not understand what this is all about ? It’s about the cost of tickets going up tenfold for away fans right across serie A which also includes traveling milanista who always travel in numbers this is the curva and AIMC coming together to voice there disgust and support for traveling fans

The higher the price the less fans will come to San siro therefore the atmosphere will suffer
The cost of tickets for home fans is also up ten fold ,I’m a Milan season ticket holder on the curva Sud for 18yrs and the cost to my ticket this year is up by 40% …..the cost of champions league games is a ridiculous €125 for the same seat per game this is what happens when asset company’s hedge funds get involved in football, Yes it’s a business but without fans there is No business without fans there is no atmosphere they have to be realistic to the fans ……this isn’t the premier league this serie A and the passion is different

Not everyone can attend a game so you probably don’t understand what it’s all about I understand I travel from the Uk for every home game and feel the anger from fans
