Milan are expected to bring in a playmaker this summer, which is in addition to the arrival of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid. Hakan Calhanoglu has left the team and that role needs filling by the directors.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on several names for the No.10 role. Two of the players on their wish list are Josip Ilicic of Atalanta and Mikkel Damsgaard of Sampdoria.
The former is obviously very experienced, at the age of 33, and knows the league very well. He would be a solid addition for Milan but he would hardly be a solution for the future, which is what Damsgaard would be.
The Dane is just 20-years-old and has impressed a lot with both Sampdoria and the Danish national team. His price tag will surely be a lot higher than that of Ilicic, though, which is a factor to take into consideration.
