In addition to the mercato, Milan are also focused on the renewals related to Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu. For the latter, the negotiations are a lot tougher, but the feeling is that a solution could be found.
Next week, the decisive meeting between Milan and Calhanoglu’s agent will take place, as reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews). The newspaper took stock of the situation which, as mentioned, is far from easy.
There was a meeting between Gordon Stipici and Milan before Christmas and the parties will pick up where they left off. Calhanoglu has expressed his desire to remain at Milan, but he wants a pay rise in the new deal.
The request of the No.10 is €5m per year, while Milan have offered just €3.5m thus far. The feeling is that, with a little effort, both sides will come together and reach an agreement, perhaps at €4m plus bonuses.
