AC Milan face a race against time to secure the renewal of Franck Kessie, with a report claiming that Inter are poised to try and snatch him.
After the goodbyes of Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, the Milan management are under scrutiny to get the renewal of Franck Kessie right and it is the absolute priority for the Rossoneri, given that the Ivorian midfielder’s deal is set to expire in 2022.
As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, the Rossoneri would like to close this operation quickly, perhaps by the end of July, so as to avoid other complicated situations such as the two aforementioned. There is a difference between offer and demand as Milan have offered €3.8m net per season to Kessie who currently earns €2.2m, but the 24-year-old wants €6m.
After Donnarumma and Calhanoglu have walked away for free, Kessie cannot fail to renew. Inter are keeping a close eye on the Ivorian’s situation and – in the event of failure to extend – could try to snatch him from the Rossoneri in a year, just as they did with Calhanoglu.
AC Milan now like Arsenal…let’s see it next year.
I wonder what the common denominator is…
Come on Elliot…! Dont let him go!
If Kessie wants €6m, and if he signs 5 years contract, it will be €30m.
Consider his important role, isn’t it acceptable to give him the contract? Is there any other player who can be bought + give him contract total €30m as good as Kessie?
We can sell whole team but Kessie should stay. 6 million is nothing for one of the best MidBacks in the world.
Yes! And that person is Renato Sanches.
