Tuttosport: Do or die for Mandzukic as time is running out to convince Milan – the latest

Mario Mandzukic was brought in by Milan during the January transfer window as they needed someone to act ad the deputy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the Croatian quickly got injured and has only just recovered. 

Finally, the No.9 is back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal and he will be an important asset for the manager in the season finale. Having said that, there isn’t much time left for the striker to prove his worth with the Rossonero shirt.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), beyond the appreciation from the manager, Mandzukic has to fight an uphill battle to earn a renewal with the club. In every sense of the description, it’s certainly do or die for him as far as his Milan adventure goes.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will only consider the renewal clause if the striker starts to score some goal and at least gets some minutes in his legs. It will be tough, as the newspaper highlights, but the battle has begun. R
