Tuttosport: €30m Chelsea defender, Celtic star on Milan’s four-man wish list

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have come up with a four-man shortlist as they seek a partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli at centre-back, a report claims.

There seems to be a deal of uncertainty regarding the Rossoneri’s rearguard going into next season, with doubts over the futures of Simon Kjaer, Mateo Musacchio and even now captain Alessio Romagnoli.

A number of different outlets have suggested over the past few days that Milan are in the market for a new central defender to partner Romagnoli, and Vito Angele told us earlier in the week that Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer and Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara are two players that have attracted the club’s attention.

On Thursday, the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has focused on Milan’s defensive strategies for the upcoming window, picking out four players that they are targeting.

Omar Alderete (23 years old) from Basel and, above all, Andreas Christensen – also 23 – are on the wish list, while Kristoffer Ajer (21) of Celtic and Robin Koch (23) of SC Freiburg are options not to be overlooked.

Christensen has been linked with Milan for many weeks now and the Dane was apparently the subject of an attempt in January before the club chose to focus on Kjaer.

It was reported last month that Milan are back in for Christensen but that the Premier League side are asking for a minimum of €30million to part with the former Borussia Monchengladbach loanee.
