Tuttosport: Fassone could file new lawsuit against AC Milan

By Isak Möller -

After leaving the role as CEO against his will when Elliott Management took over AC Milan last year, Marco Fassone could now file yet another lawsuit against the Rossoneri, following Stefano Pioli’s presentation.

During the press conference for the new manager, Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis stated that they saved the club from bankruptcy, referring to Elliott’s takeover last year from the Chinese businessman Yonghong Li.

However, as Tuttosport reports (via MilanNews.it), these words could spark another dispute between Marco Fassone and the San Siro side, given that those comments could harm the image of the 55-year-old.

It would be the second lawsuit in just over one year from Fassone, who sued the club after he was sacked from his position as CEO last year. Eventually, as ANSA reports, the two parties came to an agreement with regards to the remaining salary.

For now, though, it seems highly unlikely that he would enter into a new battle with the club, given how much time the last one took.
