Tuttosport: Fenerbahce reignite Krunic pursuit but Milan’s stance remains firm

By Oliver Fisher -

Fenerbahce tried to sign Rade Krunic during the summer and seemed to have the green light from the player but were shut down by AC Milan. Now, however, they sense another opening.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Fenerbahce are in fact willing to make a new attempt for the Bosnian midfielder during the upcoming January transfer window, in the hope of convincing Milan to let him leave this time.

The Rossoneri don’t seem to have changed their minds, however, because Krunic continues to be one of Stefano Pioli’s first choices in the midfield. Milan are also in negotiations with the player to renew his contract which expires in 2025.

Despite this, at the moment we are in a stalemate phase because there are differences of opinion on the salary, but in any case there is no intention of selling him in January and if things do not advance on the renewal front the club will be forced to consider a summer sale given he will be one year from his deadline.

One thing could change the cards on the table, and that is if Fenerbahce decide to present Milan with an offer they simply cannot refuse. In the summer the Turkish side made a sizeable offer to the player, while the offer to the Diavolo had been rather low.

We’ll see if anything changes between now and January, but for now Krunic seems destined to stay despite the return of the Istanbul team.

  1. I dont mind krunic staying but considering his reportedly high wage demands i would say let him go and especially if fenerbache is still ready to offer what they did in the summer mercato.

  2. SELL!!!!!!!!!!Just make him go away,sell him,gift him,whatever….just make sure he’s not going to comeback!!!!Farewell,and stay away from ACM!Clown…

  3. Until we sign a proper DM we can’t let him go.
Doesn’t matter if you like him or not, we simply don’t have the players to be letting him leave.

    Pobega (arguably worse than Krunic)
    Bennacer – Injured
Adli – does not have the trust of the coach

    RLC- injury prone
    Musah
    Reijnders

We can’t play the same 3 every game

Ideally we would have a midfield with 6 players for 3 positions
    RLC/Musah
    Reijnders/Adli
    Bennacer/ ????

    We need a DM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man Utd got Amrabat on a 10m loan with option to buy for a total of 30m. That’s what we need/needed

    1. Nah eff that lol sell him and force to play Adli..
And so that I don’t have to hear ppl btch moan and complain about our squad players every time smh 🤦‍♂️
Btw Amrabat is an expensive loan and hasn’t exactly lit it up at United. They might send him back tbh

      1. If we’re gonna sell Krunic (which I’m in favor of) we MUST reinvest that money into a DM.
Amrabat can be great, and frankly his situation in Man U isn’t that telling. This club has became a sort of a graveyard for players, every players who went there ended up/became worse than before, so we might be able to ressurect Amrabat who is a WC semi-finalist and has experience in serie A. But his pice and wage are going to be a problem.

        1. I know I know. I thought not getting a DM was the most glaring error in our transfer campaign tbh. If we’re moving to a 433, the most important position is the DM (Guardiola, Busquets, Xavi, Makalele, Essien, Rijkard, Pirlo to name a few). They’re basically the quarter back of the team. I don’t know how they could’ve missed that.
I’m actually in agreement with you guys on Amrabat but he’s more a pure destroyer than a 6 (requiring great passing abilities). I think he suits serie A more than the Prem but some of his tackles and positioning at Man Utd have been sus to say the least.

          1. Man U is sus in of itself.
It’s true that a true 4-3-3 requires a DM with better passing abilities, play build-up and vision, but maybe he can suit our 4-2-3-1 as a double pivot with a regista ?
Anyways, we made points about Amrabat, but I don’t think Milan is contacting him anytime soon ?
