Tuttosport: From sale to stay to potential loan – Milan reflecting on future of young midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

There is still a chance that AC Milan could let Tommaso Pobega leave this summer, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that while incomings may be the focus of the management, they are also working to thin out the squad so it is compact and complete. It is here where a new loan opportunity could present itself for Tommaso Pobega.

The 22-year-old returned to Milan in the summer after an excellent season with Spezia and over the past few weeks evaluations on the player have alternated from the possibility of a sale, to the idea of a stay up to the potential of another departure on loan.

At the moment a definitive decision has not yet been taken as Milan are working to close the signing of Yacine Adli, but in the background Milan know Kessie and Bennacer will be involved in the African Cup of Nations in January. This could play in favour of Pobega as he would get playing time.

  1. Idiots, guy wants to stay so badly, he will fight to be here, sounds like exactly what we need at Milan to keep the heart and passion. Yet we have penny pinching soulless Elliot and Gazidis .. here’s to hoping for the best..

  2. 1) Cheaper to keep him then bring in someone else.

    2) The kid already has 20 games in Serie A and did very well for a much weaker team.

    3) He’s Italian. We need Italians.

    4) as Zoro said, he will fight to be here. Passion is important.

    5) Keep him. Again.

  3. Even though I want Pobega to stay, I believe the management is doing very good with their décisions which reflects in ACM current progress in their financial statute with success in the field ratio. So Pobega staying shouldn’t be our headache but rather how we must be successful with whatever is available.
