Tuttosport: From UCL to Euros dilemma – Milan set to renew contract of Donnarumma

By Isak Möller -

Milan are very keen on keeping Gigio Donnarumma beyond this season, but they are yet to reach an agreement on the contract renewal. Mino Raiola is playing hardball and the worry is increasing.

As pointed out by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), it’s unlikely that an agreement won’t be in place by June (or a solution) as Donnarumma doesn’t want to be distracted during the important Euros. He’s the starter for Italy and must perform then.

Beyond the economic gap between the parties, Raiola doesn’t want his client to play for a club that isn’t in the Champions League. Although they are in a good position to secure it, Milan still have ten crucial games left of the season.

The future is on the side of the Rossoneri, though, as the management has proved their seriousness and results are showing. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has praised it several times, so Raiola will no doubt be aware of the positive steps.

There may be tension as things stand, but Milan should win the race in the end and renew their big star, per the newspaper.
