AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis wishes to meet with agent Mino Raiola to reach an agreement regarding Alessio Romagnoli’s renewal, a report claims.
Monday’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive) notes how Milan are looking for Romagnoli’s long-term partner in the transfer market, but they must also resolve the Italy international’s future too.
Romagnoli is considered non-transferable by the club and Ivan Gazidis intends to meet Mino Raiola at the end of the season (most likely early August) to discuss the renewal of the club captain, whose contract expires in June 2022.
Gazidis hopes not to encounter too many problems, and above all to find an agreement on his salary, with Milan have rejected some offers from abroad in the past.
The idea is to continue to reject them, but it will be crucial to find an agreement on renewal to prevent Romagnoli from winding down his contract and another situation like the Gianluigi Donnarumma crossroads occurring.
Romagnoli has always shown his will to stay with the Rossoneri and, if future plans are convincing, he has no reason to change teams despite recent links with Barcelona.
