AC Milan head coach Marco Giampaolo is still experimenting with a couple of key positions ahead of Saturday’s derby, a report claims.
The Rossoneri take on their neighbours on Saturday night at San Siro in another exciting instalment of the Derby della Madonnina.
Milan have started the 2019-20 campaign with two wins out of three, but face a Nerazzurri side who have had a perfect start with nine points out of nine.
A lot of the speculation in the run up to the game has been about Giampaolo’s formation, and Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – claimed on Thursday that he considered switching to a three man defence.
According to Friday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), the head coach is still choosing between Lucas Biglia and Ismael Bennacer to start at the base of the midfield.
The report adds that Giampaolo has been trying Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao alongside Suso to support Krzysztof Piatek, suggesting the Portugal U21 international has a chance of starting.
