Tuttosport: Giroud ready for final Milan game – he should start vs. Roma

AC Milan will bring down the curtain on the 2023-24 season today when they play in a rare post-season friendly against Roma, and it will be Olivier Giroud’s actual last game for the club.

Of course the campaign officially ended last weekend with the 3-3 draw at home against Salernitana at San Siro which concluded the Serie A season and gave fans a chance to bid farewell to Giroud, Simon Kjaer and Stefano Pioli.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) reports how Milan will face off against Roma at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia with a kick-off time of 13:00 CEST, with around 60,000 tickets having been sold.

Daniele Bonera will act as a sort of interim coach for the Rossoneri, while his counterpart Daniele De Rossi will be in the other dug out. Both should field the best teams available for the occasion, obviously considering the players at their disposal.

In the Milan line-up it should be Giroud who makes his last appearance ever with the red and black shirt. Noah Okafor will also start, given the unavailability of Rafael Leão. For Roma, it is looking like a possible attacking trident made up of Paulo Dybala, Tammy Abraham and Tommaso Baldanzi.

Yesterday, meanwhile, the legends of the two clubs met, including Franco Baresi, Daniele Massaro, Serginho, David Pizarro and Max Tonetto.
