Tuttosport: How Milan should line up for key clash against Juventus

By Oliver Fisher -

The full squad were back in training at Milanello yesterday as they began preparing for the game against Juventus on Sunday night, and Stefano Pioli has some selection doubts.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) takes stock of the situation at Milan heading into the game, starting with the fact that Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and Malick Thiaw returned to training with the group yesterday.

Musah should take the place of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who carried out part of the session with the squad and the second bit on his own, because he is not yet back to 100% in terms of his physical condition.

Rade Krunic and Pierre Kalulu have also raised the level of their fitness further and so, like Loftus-Cheek, they are heading towards a call-up, but they should also start from the bench.

The paper reports that Yacine Adli should be the regista with Tijjani Reijnders and Musah either side. In defence, a battle could open between Malick Thiaw and Simon Kjaer to be Fikayo Tomori’s partner.

Theo Hernandez is suspended so Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi will be the full-backs, while the now standard front three will be deployed.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Mirante; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Florenzi; Musah, Adli, Reijnders: Pulisic, Giroud, Leao. Coach : Stefano Pioli.
