AC Milan could turn to Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic in case they are left disappointed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s response, according to a report.
As per Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) Milan’s main target for the attack remains Ibrahimovic, but the Rossoneri are also considering possible alternatives to the Swede.
If the 38-year-old chooses to reject the idea of a return to Milan, the paper claims that the idea of signing Mandzukic is still very much alive as he is a ‘player with a character very close to that of Zlatan’.
The Milan leaders are looking for a striker that also knows how to raise the team from the character point of view, something which they believe the 33-year-old could do.
Back in October, il Giornale (via Goal) reported that Milan have taken a step towards adding more veteran presence by agreeing personal terms with Mandzukic, with Juve happy to sanction the move.
