Tuttosport: How Ibrahimovic is pushing for an ‘Ajax-inspired Milan’

By Oliver Fisher -

More than a month has now passed since Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to AC Milan as RedBird Capital’s senior advisor, and more information continues to filter on his vision for the club.

According to what is being reported by this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic has some quite obvious roles such as keeping in close contact with the players and being present at Milanello and San Siro.

However, he is trying to understand a little more what kind of influence he can have in the future of the club. The paper claims that Zlatan ‘is thinking of an Ajax-inspired Milan’.

The subtitle states that the Swede is now focused on the Rossoneri’s youth sector. The Dutch club has one of the best youth academies in the world, so the 41-year-old will put into practice the experiences gained in Amsterdam.

Ibrahimovic is often at the PUMA House of Football – the training complex for the youth teams – to follow his sons Vincent and Maximilian.

Furthermore, Ibra is a very good friend of the Primavera head coach Ignazio Abate. What is reported is that the Swede has plans for the youth sector, in particular by immediately transferring his mentality to the talents of the future.

  1. yeah we need to up the lvl of primavera. Not enough home grown talents in the club anymore.

Ofc if somoe does show some promise they sell him right away anyway, so that is also something they need to change imao

    1. The problem is not with Primavera. We have amazing talent this year! But even after very good debutes the Club just does not give them chances. I believe it is something to do with agent commissions. I think it is not the question of football or their form but who the agents are and what kind of money club can make in the future. It is dirty business that does jot allow our young stars to contribute to the clubs success

      1. And now that Traore was given a couple of chances he has been sold (well, loan + option to buy) elsewhere. Milan management has nooooooooooooooo idea what they’re doing.

  2. But Ajax believes in their youth players and youth sector but you loan with option to buy right away chaka but he’s key player for abate but we are gonna get 10 m NO in Ajax they wouldn’t do that they would keep him . And like brobbey case he didn’t do well in RB Leipzig he accepted to go back to Ajax why because they respect him not like our broke management
