Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been on the injury list since November 22nd, when he was forced to leave the pitch in the final minutes of Napoli-Milan. Although a return is now closer, the Swede has some time left.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the 39-year-old would like to be back for the game against Juventus. He feels better every day, but even so, the chances of seeing him next Wednesday are very slim indeed.
Stefano Pioli is trying to keep Ibrahimovic calm in the recovery process, as the striker can’t afford another relapse. This wouldn’t be good for anyone and it’s a lot better to ease him back than attempting a lightning recovery.
Therefore, his return should take place for the double match against Torino (Serie A and Coppa Italia). Ibrahimovic wants it to be the Juventus game, but the Rossoneri medical staff certainly won’t give him the green light for it.
