Tuttosport: Juventus issue ultimatum to Kalulu with ‘patience wearing thin’

Juventus do not want to wait much longer for an answer from Pierre Kalulu and have set an ultimatum for a response, according to a report.

According to Tuttosport, Juve’s ‘patience with Kalulu is starting to wear thin’. There is a financial agreement between the clubs and the defender sat out of the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy against Monza at San Siro, suggesting a move was close.

However, the Frenchman has not yet given the green light, as we reported last night. Juve have no time to waste and for this reason they expect a definitive response from him by today, because Thiago Motta’s idea was to have him available for their season opener against Como.

The agreement between Milan and Juve is as follows: a €3.5m loan with an option to buy set at €14m plus €3m in potential bonuses and a 10% resale clause. The fact that the Rossoneri opened up to an option to buy and not an obligation was the ‘fundamental step’ in the negotiation.

Personal terms with Kalulu’s entourage have even been agreed, and he would sign a contract until 2029 if his loan were to be made permanent, with an annual salary of €2.5m net per season for the former Lyon man.

The centre-back wanted to speak with Motta in order to get an idea of what his plans are, yet even after that call he asked for more time to decide. The Bianconeri are waiting for a decision from the defender, who trained regularly yesterday and could yet be called up tomorrow against Torino.

  1. At this point i think its better for Kalulu to accept the offer. At Juve they currently only have Bremer, Gatti, Djalo, Rugani and Facundo Gonzalez as true CB – I think he is potentially better than all of them except for Bremer. Its obviously better than at Milan where he currently is 5th choice CB and 3rd RB…

For those think the fee is low, Kalulu comes from 2 bad seasons hampered with injury and bad form.. and he never found his form from our scudetto season. 20m is fair price for him considering he is 24 now, not much a wonderkid anymore.

      1. Yeah, he says only and then lines up 5 CBs. But I think Djalo is leaving. Kalulu is definitely better than Thiaw. He actually played great in the Scudetto season, Thiaw had 4 good games and 400 mistakes. Not sure how is he ahead of anyone anymore.

        1. I say only because they are all just numbers but zero quality.

Only Bremer is definitely better than Kalulu. His chance of playing is higher than here.

    1. And what makes you think he’s the 5th CB in Milan?. are you the coach to decide how to use players and their roles, Huh?.

Just because Kalulu had a set back injury, you all want him gone forgetting he has a lot of potentials in him and can even get back to form.

Kalulu is not signing for Juventus, he’s staying with Milan and he will pick up his form back.

  2. It’s clear the boy want to stay because he feels very comfortable with Milan. So let him stay rather than pushed him to play for a mafia club like Juve.

  3. Im not the coach. But the facts are :

    – Kalulu never start in any of the friendly matches that Milan had this season. Tomori, Gabbia, and Thiaw have their chance, and it seems 1st choice pair before Pavlovic come is Tomori-Thiaw. No way We bought Pavlovic for 20m and let him rot in the bench.

    – Fonseca talk about Kalulu as RB but never actually played him there, and even buy Emerson Royal -> he failed to convince Fonseca to play at RB.

    – Kalulu is 24. Thiaw is 23. Pavlovic is 23. He is not THAT young.

    – He almost never playing good for 2 seasons in a row now. 22/23 he only have 1 injury and missed 7 matches, but he played badly and lost his starting position to Thiaw. Last season he missed 24(!) Matches…

    – Milan value Thiaw for 40m, Kalulu 20m. Tomori our current best DF, Gabbia is important for Homegrown player list. Pavlovic? We just buy him…

    – We buy him for less than 1m. His transfer fee will be 99% capital gain.

Safe to say he is CURRENTLY 5th choice CB. It can be changed in the season ofc, but thats after the window closed. So the player currently most likely to leave is Kalulu.

I am not a Kalulu hater but I tried to view him objectively.

And another fact is, we need to sell 2-3 non homegrown players.

If you disagree tell me the fact and argue. Prove me wrong.

    1. On point! 👍

We currently need to sell 3 non-homegrown players since we wouldn’t be able to include them in the squad list anyway.
I also think it makes little sense to buy players trained in Italy just to be able to list more non-homegrown players. The squad would become too large again, which is bad for our young players.

We need to get rid of Kalulu, Adli, and in my opinion, Saele. Perhaps we could swap Saele for Chiesa if he agrees to lower his salary. Otherwise, I’m relatively satisfied with the squad and the new signings. Pobega and Terraciano don’t convince me, but they will likely stay due to the regulations.

  4. If they have 50M for koop they can caught out 17M for Kalulu. I know we wanna offload but can’t go around giving discounts to rivals, man

  5. Dilemma of Milan mercato exits:
    Every player earmarked divides opinion
one way or the other….. This is to be expected since two people hardly see things the same way! Irrespective, the job must be done and done well to the utmost ability of those charged with the responsibility. That is without partiality, nor fear, nor favor. Time is of
essence.I here plead for godspeed, respect for all involved.forza Milan
