Tuttosport: Juventus striker tempted by Milan move after learning of interest

By Oliver Fisher -

Another source have claimed that AC Milan are exploring a deal for Juventus striker Moise Kean, and they suggest that the player is interested.

This morning’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) confirmed the report from Sky last night which claimed that the Milan management are thinking about trying to fix their striker issue by calling Juventus for Kean.

The management believe that Kean could be the ideal deputy to Olivier Giroud because of his characteristics but he is not the first choice, because Armando Broja of Chelsea has top spot on the wish list.

There would also be some obstacles to overcome in the negotiations with Juve, given that the Rossoneri would want a loan with option to buy that would at most become an obligation upon the occurrence of certain conditions.

Juve, on the contrary, would like to sell him on a permanent deal and are more cold on the idea. However, when informed of Milan’s interest, Kean did not dismiss the idea of having an opportunity to move and get more playing time.

  1. Didn’t Juventus just bought him out for 30 mil from Everton?
He has a ton of talent that in the right environment can be unlocked.
Playing under Allegri even the most prolific strikers in the history would have low numbers of goals.
He scored a bunch at PSG though.
    The talent is there.
But, is the discipline, dedication, and professionalism there?

    1. I agree on the part about the discipline, dedication and professionalism. At times it looks like he’s going down the same path as Balotelli… His only plus is that he’s Italy-grown so wouldn’t affect the lists

5 million loan for him means that Milan want to add another 30 million on top to buy him. I personally see it as a big gamble. For Juve to want to sell a home-grown player that has potential to be a starter means that they’ve given up on him (and are probably going to play with Milik and Vlahovic/Lukaku)

On a separate note, it was Allegri that launched Kean at Juventus at age 16 and it was due to Allegri that he was sold for 27+ million when he was 19 years old to Everton. Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar.

  2. I fail to see how he could be the ideal deputy for Giroud. He has the same characteristics as Okafor and Okafor is considered lw first by pioli
Broja is also a stupid chioce, he needs to regain fitnes and form. Milan needs a player that can step right in so Giroud isnt overworked again

  3. Kean is more suited to the lone striker role than Okafor. He has poachers instinct and will thrive with the right kind of supply coming from the wings and the AM. I would be more inclined to look at him rather than Borja

  4. Is this a JOKE??? Kean is the answer by Georgio and Moncada?? Pls let this be a made up story. Absolutely NOT the player we need at all.

I think we are starting to see that When the $$$ runs out just how difficult it is to sign quality players. Much easier when you had the Tonali $$. Now that it’s gone the true test of this management will come into focus. So far it’s a bit concerning. Still time but kinda strange the players we are now being linked too.

Missing out on Singo and instead going after an 18 yr old CB with zero experience in the league or big club instead of just playing Kalulu there or leaving Gabbia in the team is risky and was a missed opportunity (esp at the low cost he was available for) IMO and relying on Krunic as your starting registra is a gamble as is failing to sign a striker and back up LB (thus far) and banning Sales and Origi to the stands when we MAY (like it or not) need them (Florenzi & Calabria always hurt and no backup #9 to Giroud yet) if we can’t sign replacements.

Like I said, still time to remedy but it doesn’t look that promising so far. We shall see
