Tuttosport: Juventus ponder signing of Milan captain Romagnoli for post-Chiellini era

Alessio Romagnoli’s contract with Milan will expire next summer and there hasn’t been any movement on a renewal yet. As a result, a few clubs are monitoring the situation of the captain, including Juventus.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), taking stock of Romagnoli’s future, Juventus are thinking about the former Roma man for the post-Chiellini era. The latter, now 36-years-old, is nearing retirement.

However, this is just an idea for the time being as the Bianconeri haven’t taken any concrete steps to even enquire about the situation. On the other hand, Milan haven’t started talks about a renewal either so the future is up in the air.

Arriving from Roma for a fee of €25m six years ago, the defender could perhaps sell for roughly the same amount after what has been a tough season. But he could also end up staying, even if his salary demands are high.
