Tuttosport: Kjaer is yet to train with Milan as Champions League return seems unlikely

By Euan Burns -

Danish defender Simon Kjaer has not trained with AC Milan yet as part of his recovery from injury which makes a return for the Champions League next week seem unlikely, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Kjaer is the defender expected to return from injury first for Milan, but he will not be involved against Atalanta this weekend.

The hope is that he can be fit for the Champions League clash against Newcastle on Wednesday night which is a crucial game.

Given he has not trained with Milan during the week, the chances of him being fit for Wednesday are getting slimmer.

His injury was expected to just be a fatigue but he has now been out for 41 days. In contrast, Rafael Leao has done some group training this week which means he is much more likely to make his return against Newcastle next week.

    1. Too slow? Fast enough to keep Harry Kane in his pockets. You know the guy who’s one of the best goal scorers in our time. The one banging goals in and out each week. Well. He scored zero against Kjaer. Pace isn’t everything. But I’m sure all the video gamers disagree but what do they know about the real world anyway, right? 😉

  1. He cannot fit on top league anymore. ACM i think wont renew his contract anymore in 2024. I hope good ending for him in his last season with ACM , perhaps scudetto or coppa italy ?
