Tuttosport: Kjaer’s recovery proceeding well but return date remains unknown

By Isak Möller -

Simon Kjaer sustained a serious injury during AC Milan’s game against Genoa last year and he has since been out of action. He should be back for next season but the return date is not known yet.

After attempting a challenge near the halfway line, Kjaer went down clutching his knee and had to leave the game against Genoa. It was later confirmed that he needed arthroscopic surgery today to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament and reinsert the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the recovery is proceeding well for Kjaer and he’s optimistic about the future, eager to return even stronger. Fortunately, Milan have been able to cover for his absence thanks to the great displays of Pierre Kalulu.

Per the newspaper, there is still no certain return date for Kjaer as it will depend on the recovery. We can only hope that he will be back even stronger next season as his experience is important.
