Tuttosport: Lampard sanctions Chelsea bid of €60m cash plus €80m player for Milan star

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea are ready to make a huge offer to land AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer, according to a report.

Speculation is rife that Donnarumma will leave the club during the summer as his contract ends in June 2021 and there are no reports of an imminent renewal.

A number of top clubs have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old such as Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid, and the Premier League side in particular have been credited with a serious attempt.

Alessandro Jacobone reported on Sunday that a five-year, €8m-a-year deal has been tabled by Chelsea for Gigio, while the Express are claiming that his €60m price tag will not be enough.

According to Tuttosport on Monday (via MilanLive), the Blues are ready to offer cash plus a technical counterpart to secure the Italy international, who is wanted by Frank Lampard in particular.

Chelsea are ready to offer €60million plus Kepa Arrizabalaga to land Donnarumma, a solution that would satisfy Milan twice. First it would represent a crucial capital gain for the balance books, and secondly his replacement would instantly be sorted. Chelsea, two years ago, paid €80million to free Kepa from Athletic Bilbao.

Juventus are also on the horizon for Donnarumma but if everything goes according to CEO Ivan Gazidis’ plans, the future of the Rossoneri stopped will not be in Italy. He could go to Paris Saint-Germain instead if Leonardo were to raise his offer, the report adds.
