Tuttosport: Leao not on the market for Milan – management believe his breakout is near

Some updates have arrived on the future of Rafael Leao which appear to be contrary to previous speculation that Milan are looking to sell him.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there is no doubting that the eventual sale of the 22-year-old would be one of those that would bring some funds into the accounts, but the future of Leao will still be at Milan.

At Milanello they strongly believe in the Portuguese forward and everyone hopes and suspects that the 2021-22 season may be that of the definitive explosion, after inconsistenty during his first two campaigns at the club.

Now, it will be up to Leao to repay that faith, but given that a natural deputy to Ibrahimovic has now arrived in Olivier Giroud, the former Lille star should at the very least be guaranteed of playing exclusively on the left wing, which is his favoured position.
