Tuttosport: Leao wants to showcase himself in Europe in front of Chelsea’s watchful eyes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will take on Chelsea tonight at Stamford Bridge hoping to get a big helping hand from their star winger Rafael Leao once again.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Leao is dragging Milan at the moment in Serie A but now he wants to consecrate himself also in Europe, and he wants to do it in front of Gerry Cardinale, the new Rossoneri owner.

Cardinale is expected at Stemford Bridge for the Rossoneri’s match against Chelsea, which adds a layer of intrigue given that they tried to sign him in the summer. Leao has already made his mark in this edition of the Champions League with two assists and a penalty won against RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb, but now he also wants to be decisive with a goal.

The former Lille man knows very well that tonight all eyes will be on him, including those of Chelsea who will try to stop him but will also pay special attention ahead of a potential move in the January window.

The Rossoneri management have been working for some time to renew his contract but at present an agreement has not yet been found, which is why Chelsea remain vigilant and ready to pounce should the opportunity arise.
