Tuttosport: The line-up changes Pioli is expected to make vs. Dortmund

AC Milan are back in action tomorrow night at San Siro in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund in what is a crucial game in the race for the knockout rounds.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) reports that three changes are expected compared to the line-up that faced Fiorentina on Saturday evening in the league and two of them will be in midfield.

Rade Krunić and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will play from the first minute in place of Yunus Musah (suspended) and Tommaso Pobega. It remains to be seen whether the Englishman will play as a ‘tactical’ attacking midfielder – as he did against PSG – in a 4-2-3-1 or whether the formation will be 4-3-3.

The other change is in attack, where Olivier Giroud – who still has to serve a one-match ban against Frosinone on Saturday – will return to his place as an attacking midfielder, sending Luka Jović back to the bench.

It remains to be seen whether Simon Kjær will return to the squad because Pioli is short of alternatives among the central defenders. The Dane trained individually at Milanello yesterday.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernández; Krunić, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Nava, Bartesaghi, Florenzi, Nsiala-Makengo, Adli, Pobega, Chaka Traorè, Jović.
