Lyon are interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta and have offered up a defender as part of the deal, a report claims.
Despite showing positive glimpses of what he can do in preseason so far, it seems that the Rossoneri still don’t consider Paqueta to be part of their plans for the upcoming season, especially after the arrival of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid.
A number of different clubs have been linked with a move for Paqueta over the past few months including Paris Saint-Germain, Fiorentina and Benfica, but in recent days it is Lyon who have been mentioned most.
According to reports from Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Lyon’s interest in Lucas Paqueta has not vanished and the Ligue 1 side would like the Brazilian as a reinforcement for their squad.
In the negotiations for the former Flamengo star, Lyon apparently offered centre-back Jason Denayer, but they received a negative response from the Rossoneri management.
