Tuttosport: Maldini and Massara want to plug key gap in defence to support star man

AC Milan are looking to reinforce the squad this summer by adding a defender to complete the full-back department, a report claims.

At the moment there looks like being some gaps to fill with regards to the full-back area, with Diogo Dalot currently only on a dry loan from Manchester United until the end of the season, meaning a back-up left-back and right-back could well be needed although Pierre Kalulu can do the latter.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan’s management believe that they are missing a deputy to Theo Hernandez, and it will be addressed once the summer transfer window opens.

Maldini and Massara will go in search of a player who can replace the Frenchman and allow him to catch his breath, as he has been one of the pillars of Stefano Pioli’s team but with three competitions next season some periods of rest will be needed.
