Tuttosport: Maldini eyes 96-goal Serie A striker as a possible Champions League gift

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make a move for striker Andrea Belotti this summer if a top four finish is achieved, according to a report.

It seems as though the Rossoneri have been linked with a move for Belotti for the last five years, but nothing has ever materialised which has meant the Torino No.9 made the move to his boyhood club.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Andrea Belotti could be Milan’s next striker and may well be Paolo Maldini’s gift to the Rossoneri in the event of a return to the Champions League.

It is no secret that Belotti’s contract with Torino expires in 2022, but the Granata are not yet sure about securing the renewal of a player who will turn 28 at the end of the year, and therefore they have been forced to evaluate his future.

A lot will depend on how il Toro’s season goes between now and the end, but it seems as though the Rossoneri are seriously evaluating Belotti as an option for their future.

The Italy international has 96 goals and 24 assists in 234 Serie A appearances,  and has 103 goals in 214 for Torino overall.
