Next weekend’s derby against Inter will be a fantastic barometer for how far AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer has come.
As Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport reports (via MilanLive), Bennacer is one of the players who has enjoyed the biggest growth in recent months since the switch to a 4-2-3-1 system which suits him perfectly, having formed a fearsome pairing with Franck Kessie.
Bennacer is expected to start next Saturday in the derby and he will have to demonstrate that he has matured mentally and can handle the pressure of a big match, as he will come up against Arturo Vidal in the Inter midfield.
The Chilean joined the Nerazzurri in the recent summer window having been specifically requested by Antonio Conte and is a flexible, technical and combative player.
These are qualities that Bennacer has too, meaning we are all set for a fantastic duel within a fascinating spectacle. Bennacer has not yet fully developed his chemistry with Sandro Tonali, but the feeling is that there is all the time in the world for that to happen.
