Tuttosport: Messias is finally ready for Milan and Pioli has two positions in mind

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias took part in his first training session with AC Milan yesterday and he’s expected to be on the bench for the game against Atalanta tomorrow. Good news for Stefano Pioli, who certainly needs the depth.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), he will be on the bench tomorrow and Pioli will be able to offload some of his key players. Brahim Diaz, who has played a lot at the start of this season, comes to mind.

When Messias arrived, his condition was far from perfect and Milan decided to put him on the sidelines until it was better. And now that Alessandro Florenzi will be out for a month, the return of the Brazilian is perfect timing really.

In addition to replacing Diaz when needed, Messias will also be able to offload Alexis Saelemaekers when needed. Compared to Florenzi, he will perhaps add more in the attack and that could come in handy.
